So much as happened!

Before I get started on the recap, I just wanted to say:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, OSCAR'S DADDY!

Okay, I'm ready...

On 10/9, Thursday night, we took Oscar for his second vet visit. Oh goodness! They didn't even try to put him on the baby/puppy scale... Oscar went on the big dog table scale! When we first brought him home, he was about 16 lbs. This time, he was a whopping 25.5 lbs! What a fatty fat! :) Just kidding. He's a growing boy, that's for sure.

You can see that his legs are getting longer too ... he has the legs that every woman wishes for: long and lean and slightly muscular.

For this vet visit, Oscar got the lepto and booster (DHPP) shot. He's due for another booster shot on 10/30. At his next visit, Oscar will also get his heartworm tablet and Front Line.

In general, Oscar was pretty good at the vets office. This time, he was very aware of the other dogs, but we kept him focused with our cheddar cheese bits (which is used for very important situations - ie. Puppy training).

Speaking of Puppy Training, we start Puppy Kindergarten with Ruth tonight. First it's just the parents, and Oscar joins in tomorrow. I'm really excited. Oscar has been a bit more mischievous and disobedient (biting skin, growling, not listening) and I think this training will help me be a better owner.

This weekend Tina came over to visit, and we all had a great time. Oscar loved her red shoes, but I think he learned to not eat them by the time she left. He was pretty good over the weekend in general, even when we had a bunch of people over.

Not much else to report, except that Oscar went on his first walk on Sunday! Chris and I "dragged" him to Joa Mart. He did great getting there - using a red bandana and lots of treats and love, but on the way back, he was much more tired. He even lied on the grass to relax!

I tried to walk him again yesterday morning. No success at all, not even remotely. Chris' success level was about the same: nonexistent.

Again, I cannot WAIT until puppy kindergarten!
