Oscar's new love, beyond all toys, hugs, and kisses, is the couch. He loves our couch. Even though it's microfiber and stain resistent, we tuck in some blankets for him to rest on, so he doesn't get any slobber on the seats. He still manages to get his bulldog drool on the arms of the chairs or on the occasional cushion. In the morning at 6am, I open up his crate, expecting him to run to the back door for his first pee of the day, but instead, he runs to the couch and puts his front paws up and waits for me to notice. He has some trouble getting up on his own, so if we do want him up, he'll put his paws up on the couch and we pick the rest of the body up.

We also don't pick up Oscar anymore to pee. He follows out to the backyard. He's a big boy now! But every once in a while, we'll have to pick him up if he refuses to go outside. Then Chris says, "Oh Oscar! How embarassing! You have to get picked up by Daddy! You're still a baby..." then, Oscar rests his eye over Chris' shoulder and gives me those puppy eyes (which are now no longer blue... wahhhhhhhh).
My favorite time is in the morning when I am still half asleep, and we cuddle up on the couch watching TV. He's usually entertaining himself with a bully stick, while I try to use his rump as a pillow.
Unfortunately, we missed puppy kindergarten this week because Chris and I were both so sick and we would've been absolutely miserable in class, along with Oscar. So we stayed home instead and all cuddled up on the couch, and I eventually passed out at 8pm. :)
Last Sunday (this update is totally out of order!), Rory and Cathy came over again.
